:( That is all

While strolling along on the Underground( For those of you who dont know what that is, its a chat forum, the rooted from a yard sale site.) Anyways, there was a discussion on there about how to search for other people, I guess in a way to get dirt. Well, im human, so naturally curiousity got the best of me, and I searched a few friends, myself, which was quite interesting, and then I decided....hey maybe I should search my husband just for fun! Well, as most people know, when you do something like that its going to bite you in the butt. And it did. Here I sit, at my computer bawling my eyes out, and trying to fit the pieces of my heart back together. I came across a site called Legacy.com, and its like online memorial books for people who have since passed, it was an entry he wrote for his team leader in Iraq, the one who lost his life in place of my husband......and this is what he wrote.....

SGT Wright, you have been unforgetable to me. I will never never forget the first day you showed up to our company, or the last mission i ever ran with you. I will never forget the crazy ideas and things you did with us all, we were a great team. The day you died is etched in my head. I will never stop thinking of that day, knowing that you were there in my stead. I truly believe your sacrifice that day in taking my place so I could be with my family is the greatest thing anyone could have ever done for me. Not only did you die with great honor for our country but you gave me and my family the gift life in a whole new way, that could have or should have been me that day. Thank you SGT Gregroy Wright. You will always hold a place in my heart as well as my family. We will never forget you.

Dinner with Warriors Cook Book! This is AWESOME!!!

I was on facebook today, and got this message from Brig Arnold. This is a totally awesome cause, and I really hope that if you arent a warrior and are not being featured in the book that you will purchase one! The proceeds are going to help Wounded Warrior Project, and if you dont know what that is you should check it out! Im for sure submitting Nate, so if nothing else, do it for him!

Dinner With Warriors is an organization committed to raising awareness and funds for the Wounded Warrior Project.

The main work is a cookbook called "Dinner With Warriors" In the book each page will feature a wounded or fallen soldier, with a picture and a little about them followed by their favorite meal and recipe.

The book will be sold to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. I believe that I have the resources to sell many of these cookbooks and raise a significant amount of money and awareness, what I need is help with the content. I need soldiers or the family of soldiers to provide the information to make the book a success.

If you have been wounded in OIF or OEF, or if your loved ones have fallen please email the following information to, WarriorRecipes@gmail.com, or message me(Brig Arnold) on facebook:

SOLDIERS PICTURE(just yourself, with family, or with other soldiers)
SOLDIERS FIRST NAME
BRANCH
As much or as little about your INJURY as you would like to share, or the story of how they fell
FAVORITE MEAL(or 2 or 3) if you have or can get a RECIPE for it thats great, if not just describe the dish and I will provide a recipe for it.

Optional information:
MOS
Date of Deployement
Hometown
OIF or OEF

If you know someone who has been wounded please pass this information along to them, or just ask them if you can send in the information for them.

I believe that as families use the book and see that these wounded and fallen soldiers are real people, they are neighbors, friends, brothers, and sisters/ they will not just stop at buying the cookbook but awareness levels will increase, and with that I think there will be further donations.

Please share as much information as you feel comfortable with, as this will go to help relieve other soldiers who have been injured. Thank You.

2010

Welcome to 2010 everyone! its going to be a great year filled with new adventures, laughter, hope, and as always challenges. Here are our top 12 moments of 2009!

1) Our baby boy turned 3, I cant believe he is so big! It seems like just yesterday he was born, and we were holding him in our arms! We are so proud of the little man he is becoming!

2) We OWN a home! We moved off post in January of 2009. We knew Nate would be out of the Army soon, we didnt know how soon, but we didnt want TOO much change to happen all at once, so we bought a house, and moved off post! Making it our own has been so much fun!

3)Oh my Goodness, Nate is Pregnant! " Mommy! Im going to have a baby, and its going to be a brother, I even have hair like you, except Blue, with yellow highlights." LOL

5. Me..."Umm, Wheres the baby?" Nate: "Oh don't worry, shes in the laundry." :)

6. Nate Retired from the Army! I am so proud of him for all the things he has been through! Hes my hero! Even when hes wearing a Hula Skirt. LOL

7. Texas! We were honored to attend the 2009 Army Wounded Warrior Symposium! What an experience, we got to meet all kinds of people just like us, and talk to the Armys highest leadership about the things that affect our families! :) Oh yeah, and we had plenty of free time to explore!

8. One word: Alabama! In August we went to Alabama to attend Operation Purple Healing Adventures, a camp for families of Wounded Soldiers. We had a great time healing with  families like us, and meeting wonderful people, who genuinely cared about the Sacrifice that our service members are making! We may try to go back this year, if there arent enough families who havent got to experience it yet, I wouldnt want anyone to miss this experience, even if that means we never go back!

9. Kynlee cuts the grass! This was such a site to see when I returned from class! And she enjoyed every minute of it!

10. Halloween!! Halloween this year was so much fun! The kids loved it, and Nate was old enough this year to understand! Thank goodness we were blessed with a freakishly warm October!

11. Thanksgiving! Wow, what a blessing to have Nates whole Family together, and here at our house! This never happens to us! It was chaotic, yes, but fun and exciting nonetheless...:)

12. Kynlees Birthday and Christmas! I cant believe my baby girl is one! Time really flew by this year! Christmas was amazing too, but what was the most amazing was receiving gifts from someone we didnt even know! It was like Christmas all over again, just to thank Nate for his Sacrifice, giving back, thats what Christmas is all about and that is exactly what Bob, and Nancy Nelson from Virginia did, out of the pure kindness of their hearts! And boy were my kids excited!
