3:40???
Wow! SO I have officially spent the ENTIRE day in my kitchen, cleaning, reorganizing, and throwing away the things we didnt need, or use! Its crazy how much organization goes into a kitchen! Cans in one cabinet, boxes in another. Tupperware here, lids there, oh my goodness, it may never end! I think im starting to be a little OCD, and it im chaulking it up to two things....I live with a man who has PTSD and TBI, and things have to be that way for him, and 2) I am home, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, with the exception of when I have a few errands to run, or Nate has an appointment I need to be at! On a Positive Note...this does complete a task on my 101 list....does it count if it was before I started? If it does ill swap it out with something else; either way im very proud of my kitchen! :)

I know I started this before, unfortunately I never really followed through, it dissappeared when my old blog site went out of business! Its a new year though, and with a new year comes new challenges and opportunities, and what better a time to set new goals for me and my family? Ever wish you were an Octopus???
I do! All the time! This morning particularly! Nate had his Christmas party at preschool today, so in addition to carrying Kynlee, Nates Back Pack, and library bag, we had to carry a gift for the gift exchange, and three dozen cupcakes! Oh man, I can just see it now, any wrong move and ill be on my butt, knocked out by a present, covered in icing and being licked by the baby who makes everyone believe she never eats....just that is enough to bring someone to tears! It may not have been so bad if Nate hadnt the need to wear his size too big cowboy boots to school, and had to take up space in his back back with his Tennis shoes! Sooo, being the inovative person I am, I threw everything into a duffle bag! LOL Everything survived all the way to school until Nate decided HE wanted to pull the cupcakes out and put them on the table.....bad idea, we almost lost the cupcakes, but at the last minute I swtiched Kynlee to my other side and grabbed them in the knick of time before they hit the floor! Good Save MOM! At that very instant I could have used just one extra arm.....or even just a hand that extended out of my other one or something weird like that!

Maybe I need to Talk to someone!
Okay so the play therapy yesterday went well, except one thing, I kind of felt like it turned to me and not so much my son. I guess thats not a bad thing because I definately left there feeling like I learned something! He told me that what Nate is doing is pretty normal, maybe not for HIS age but for an older kid. His ability to empathize with people is great, and it probably stresses him out because he thinks everytime someone is upset or angry its because of him .We did get him to realize that daddy isnt going anywhere, so thats definately good! He also told me that its important for every member of our family to have an identity outside of "Daddy has a brain injury," also that little Nate really likes to feel like he is taking care of his daddy, and that could stress him out too! So I got him some fish to take care of, it gives him a sense of responsibility, and something else to worry about than Daddy! :) We are going to meet with him again, because like I said it helped me too, I think he helped me come to some realizations about myself and our family that I hadnt really thought of before, and since I have never talked to someone "Professional" about all this, maybe its the missing link...we shall see!

Worried
So im taking little Nate to a "play therapy" type thing today. Im worried about him, not just because he wont sleep in his room,or hes afraid his dad is going to leave again, but the things that he says are just really sad and not 3 years old. He tells everyone about his dads hearing aids, and how he cant hear us if he doesnt wear them. He also tells everyone that his dad has a broken brain and he got it from the bad guys in Iraq. He thinks everyone that goes to Iraq comes back broken, or missing something, its really sad, but its because thats what he has seen. He is very aware of disabilities which is a great thing for a little kid to know early on, but he thinks everyone was blown up in Iraq by the bad guys. The doctor asked him if it makes him sad to see his daddy this way, and his response was, "only if he dies, then I will be really sad." A 3 year old should not have that weighing on his heart! My little guy is so smart and so fun and so loving, I just want him to worry about kid things and not about Daddy, and Iraq.

Is it Illegal to Stalk the Mailman?
Cause I did.......and I really dont want to go to jail....especially around Christmas time. So on Tuesday in the midst of my first bad day, I got the mail, which I must mention is always the highlight of my day.....so mail me stuff guys! Anyways there was one of those yellow you have a package things, that said they would try to deliver again tomorrow, or I could pick up after the 16th! The 16th!!!! Thats days away!! And to make it worse....I was home, so I dont know why the mailman couldnt just bring it to me....other than he always parks down the street and walks the whole way, and if he had boxes he couldnt carry them all, but then he could come back with his truck to the houses that have boxes, thats what I would do, if I was a mailman!
So yesterday which would make day two for the mailman to try and deliver this box was a bad day for me, but as someof you know, I had a little time between the incidents that occured and when I really had to pick Nate up for school. So While driving home to kill time I spotted him, about a block away....actually it was just his truck, he was out walking. So I parked by his truck for a little cause I was sure he hadnt walked ALL the way up to my house. I proceeded to wait for him to come back to his truck and I had planned to follow him, and stand by my mailbox like a small child when it was my turn to get mail. Well he didnt come back.....for quite some time, like 20 minutes, and genius me instead of waiting for him to get a little bit down the road and going and parking again.....I just followed.
Thats when it occurred to me......This could be illegal......so I rushed home and parked in front of my house and waited......it seemed like forever, but when he finally got there I was very excited to see he had my box!!! Not the Box I was waiting for, but it was a very Special Box from Luke and April full of Christmas Goodies!!! Very Exciting! Mint Truffle Kisses fix everything!!!!

Why does Wednesday feel like a Monday???
Let me tell you all a story about a girl who woke up on Wednesday with every intention on being in the "Christmas Spirit," but somehow kept having awful luck. Actually let me start by telling you all about yesterday, we got our morning things done, and were all dressed and ready to go to Nates Christmas Party at the hospital, and my truck wouldnt start...now I know I had gas so I played with it and played with it until..yep you guessed it, I drained my party. So now, even if my truck wanted to start, my batttery was dead so she couldnt....poor truck...poor me. So I called Nate and had him come home, and get this...it started, after he poured a whole gas can of gas in it.....I know I had guess.....I will continue to stress that. So anyway, we made it to the Christmas Party, and to Manhattan to pick up Nates boots from the store in the Mall. I ordered those things over two months ago, and when I called yesterday they told me they werent in, yet somehow miraculously appeared when I asked for my money back ? Suspicious if you ask me. So needless to say we made it to Manhattan, but by the time we were done with Target my kids were so fussy that I just brought them home to nap. Of course they didnt, so I didnt get anything done, but it was an attempt.
Ok, back to Wednesday, Little Nate goes to Preschool on Wed. so I figured this would be a great time for me to return the books I bought at Target yesterday since they were the wrong ones......Go me for trying to read the NEXT Twilight book, and not just wait for the movie, or read the whole series, and the toys I bought for my Best Friends son that he already has....I knew I should have called....it was obvious...Go me for trying to be obvious haha. Anyway LOL I hadnt had breakfast yet so I thought before I drop Nate at school, ill stop and purchase myself Sonic Brand "Heaven in a Glass"
( Sweet Tea) well, leaving sonic, my tea fell over and spilled ALL over the books I was going to return, so much for that, now I have to keep two copies of Sweet Tea Covered Eclipse....I bought one for Ashley too. Wow, my day was off to s splendid start. I did get everything I needed at Walmart though without incident so thats good! After purchasing my things at walmart I got in my truck to go home and realized HOLY COW, I have been in there FOREVER! I must hurry and go get Gubbs! So I rush across town to Kansas Kids Preschool, park, walk around the car to get the baby out and realize there are NO other cars....oh man I think to myself, my baby is all alone in there. So I go inside....no one is at the front desk so I just go downstairs to his class and stand outside the door like usual.....thats strange...they havent let out yet, but there are no other moms here......so after standing there a few minutes I take out my phone to check the time, and I cannot believe my eyes....its 1030, not 1130......ugh.....no wonder the other teachers were looking at me like I was nutso.
I scoop Kynlee up as quick as I can to try and get out of there before anyone else sees me.....but the front desk lady was back...."Do you need something she asked.?" No, I said as I rushed out avoiding contact. REALLY???? Could this day get any crazier? I shoudlnt even wonder cause things could always be stranger, crazier, worse. There was only one thing I knew could fix all this! A Ladies Night Out......with the bestest. Now this was not your ordinary Ladies Night Out.....we went Christmas Caroling with the Chruch.....it was great, we saw a few underclothed old men, but it was totally worth it to see the smile on their faces! This definately brought back Kristle Helmuths Christmas Spirit. I really need to get more involved with the Church....it always makes me feel so good!
